Happy Holidays!

Christmas in the Park was a great success last night! Thank you to all the members, parents, families and friends who came out to hear us sing. And congrats to the TPMS Jazz Band for also doing an outstanding job!

We’ll be taking a break for the holidays now – no rehearsals on 12/15 or 12/18 or during winter break. We will resume rehearsals Tuesday, January 5th, 2016.

We hope your holidays are happy, merry, joyous, healthy, and blessed. See you next year!

Christmas in the Park – Where and When

Twin Peaks Middle School Choir is pleased to be performing for the first time at Poway’s Christmas in the Park. The event is this Saturday, December 12th, at Old Poway Park on Midland Road. Festivities run from 3:30 – 8:30 p.m. with our Choir performing at 7:00 p.m.

Choir members should assemble at 6:30 p.m. at Aubrey Park, which is located across Aubrey Street from the north end of Old Poway Park. There is a landscaped area between Aubrey Street and the Aubrey Park parking lot where we will gather to warm up – by the wooden bridge and the benches. We’ll then walk together across the street to Old Poway Park, where we will be performing on the Green Park Stage.

The Twin Peaks Jazz Band will be following us on stage at 7:30. Choir members who are also in Jazz Band should have everything they need for band with them and should wear their Jazz Band shirt underneath their Choir polo.

Dress code is again black choir shirt, black pants, black socks & shoes. It is an outdoor performance and will most likely be chilly, so sweaters, coats, or jackets are okay to wear. So are festive hats and gloves or mittens. We will wear our TPMS Choir scarves for the performance and collect them again after it.

The Reviews are In!

A few of the things said to me after the concert at Poway Center for the Performing Arts:

“Best Twin Peaks Choir I’ve ever heard, and I’ve been coming to this concert for 6 years now.”

“Loved the songs! Loved the choreography! Fantastic job!”

“The Snow Carol was so pretty.”

“What a great performance!”

“That sneezing song had me laughing.”

“Bravo! Well done!”

Words cannot describe how proud we are of these kids. Last night they all gave 110% and brought down the house with their performance! I’m still smiling from ear to ear just thinking about it. Every bit of hard work paid off. They looked great. They sounded even better. No one fainted or threw up. An absolutely perfect concert!

Video of the performance is available for purchase through Old Harbor Video. Look for Poway High School and then select the 12/8/15 Winter Concert.

There is one more chance to catch us performing live this season, and that is on Saturday at Christmas in the Park. Check the calendar page for more details.
